I took this pic there from the Starting Tower in 1982 - Andrea de Crasharis in the Marlboro Alfa 182T. It was an experimental Turbo engine that they used in practice and it never actually raced so it’s probably quite a rare pic of the car. I snuck in with the son of the race director and we set up a tent on the inside grounds, It was still the long circuit. I went on a few track days there a few years later my Alfasud 1.5ti, great fun. The right hand corner after the pit exit into the banked left hand is pretty technical with off camber and going down, easy to spin (which I did a year later in an Alfetta!). Great pic. My father in law is a massive petrol head and a professional photographer with publications in Autosport and the likes spanning from the 60’s onwards. You can imagine the pics that I have seen :)
 
I didn’t have much hope after the boring sprint race, but the actual race turned out to be very eventful and exciting, well deserved win by Norris and a pity Hamilton didn’t manage to get past Russell, I thought it would have been a relatively easy pass given the others we had seen - plus I would have had the podium right..looks like Red Bull have given up on the season which is the right thing to do, not even Max can come back from that deficit.
 
As above for Zandvoort quite a good race. That late VSC scuppered Hamiltons chance of passing Russell but Norris drove a brilliant race to take a deserved win.
 
Great race, best of the season so far I would say - despite the ping pong battery overtakes it worked well on this track overall with brilliant drives by Antonelli in a fast car and Max in a not so fast car. Disappointing (as usual by now) for Ferrari with both Hamilton, Leclerc and the team underperforming compared to the rest. Russell, well what can I say, Kimi has his number no matter the situation it seems. I was going to switch out Antonelli for Russell but then I figured he would get his points overtaking lots of cars so I instead traded Norris in for Russell - only my third change this season. I don’t think many would have had Antonelli win it and Gasly on pole! At least the Tifosi had something to celebrate.
