2025 weight loss and fitness accountability club

What & when I eat have always been minor factors, for me, compared to level of activity. That said, we do try & prioritize protein here. And just by dint of how insane the pace of my day can be, I've not actually eaten a sit-down lunch in 2025...so I guess I'm also intermittently fasting.

No one misses lunch here in France mate :)

Vigorous activity > 75 minutes
Vigorous days >3
Fitness age: 48.5 (double yay)
VO2max: 43. Apparently good for people of my gender and age
Weight: 204 which makes me no longer overweight

Considered not posting today, but we are where we are

Vigorous activity > 75 minutes
Vigorous days >3
Fitness age: 48.5 (double yay)
VO2max: 43. Apparently good for people of my gender and age
Weight: 200 which is mostly yay, but also driven by the fact that I am on what is amusingly known as a zero residue diet. Basically total ****.

Totally upset my digestion so I just don't feel like eating, but required as I have an appointment on Friday afternoon with a lovely chap and a couple of cameras. Prior to which I shall be spending, I am assured a large amount of 'quality' time in the crapper.

Hopefully, though, he will be able to identify there's nothing wrong or why by current blood haemoglobin is far too low for comfort and fix it simply so I can stay awake for more than an hour :)

Honestly, even our cats are looking at me like 'Dude, come on. Do *something*' :)

Joking aside I had it done a few years ago & was conned into having it done with zero drug intervention ( don’t worry sir it’ll be fine ) yeah right - I’m still having nightmares now

My sister had the gastroendoscopy a few years back with only the spray. Her immediate comment to me was *TAKE THE DRUGS*

They use propofol here, and it's the best nap of your entire life. I remember waking up and saying "now I see why Michael Jackson loved this stuff!"

Last time I had mine, I was comfy on the bed under a warm blanket, getting high on a morphine derivative, surrounded by 4 competent young ladies, 3 of whom where blonde. If you say it like that it sounds like heaven, apart from the fact they're inserting a camera through the back orifice which I'm pretty sure it was only meant to be used as an exit.

Anyways I'm up for one again. Finally after 10 reminders I made the appointment then got shipped off States side for work coming back only a day before the procedure. Didn't wanna risk taking the meds while on a nine hour flight:rolleyes:. Yes I'll make a new appointment soon (I hope, fingers crossed....).

Well that was not as bad as expected. Drugs were administered, but didn't seem to make much difference, not that I have *any* intention of doing it again for comparative purposes.

Nothing untoward found. Couple of biopsies to be on the safe side.

Contrast CT scan booked for Wednesday to make sure there's nothing else and will get the results of everything on the 19th.

Feeling a *little* odd from the drugs. Legs don't feel quite connected to the rest of me, which is apparently normal. Can't drive until tomorrow afternoon, or drink anything, which won't kill me, but I really fancy a scotch.

Thanks for all your support, folks
