They will have to make up for the loss of the money they would have earned with the constructors championship - on the positive side they will get more wind tunnel time (for what it’s worth - you don’t hear a lot about it so it is probably becoming a moot point with simulations getting so much better..). It was interesting to see an interview with Albon though where he explained the difficulty of trying to keep up with Max as the car got sharper and sharper turning in, leading to crashes and spins and loss of confidence and then more crashes and spins and more loss of confidence etc. They nearly need two types of cars to make it work unless they can find someone that can deal with the sharper turn in.

How do they get the whole circus from Las Vegas to Qatar in less than a week?

Sprint this weekend

F1 has between 4 and 6 copies of EVERYTHING floating around the globe ... some parts stay in North America, while others get transported within Europe and surrounding areas.
So, what they are pulling down in Las Vegas, will be put into containers this week, and sent to a future destination. What has gone up in Qatar is likely from several races ago.
The logistics of it all is complicated, and it even informs which races happen when (the order), to give time for the containers from one region of the world to make it from X race in that region,
to Y race within that same region (say North America). What does this include? EVERYTHING you see inside the paddock club (the chefs stations, the team suites), all the paddock hospitality tents, the security
infrastructure (hospitality, access gates, scanners, etc), the team garage setups ... etc, etc. It's actually incredible.

Well that’s another race I have missed getting my predictions in. Didn’t even realise there was a race this weekend let alone a sprint.
ditto, ironically after reminding my daughter 2 days ago. What a dull looking venue for a GP! Quite a contrast to Spa, Imola, even Las Vegas!

I think I am more interested in the F1 Academy races this weekend with a potential championship decider where Abby Pullin could take it unless Iron Dames Dorian Pin can finish 12 points ahead of Abby.

Agree soul less venue but most of the Middle East circuits are, if I was FIA president I would scrap them all for various reasons but the money grabbers will always follow the pot of gold

The book I just read went into this...transparently a money grab.

Another Steward and FIA shlt show….and Max sticking to his guns and giving them the finger…you gotta feel for Norris as his penalty was also a bit harsh. Bin Ben Sulayemis what I say. And a lot of the stewards.

Max apparently is a steward.

I really do not like these more modern tracks and night races. Boring track and if I was Ferrari and Mercedes I would give the bill for the damage to their cars to the Stewards to pay as they didn’t clear that wing mirror in a timely manner.
If I was a Marshal I would have hot footed it across the track picked up the wing mirror and it would have been in a shelf at home before the day was done.
