It was only about 10 degrees today, but lovely and sunny and our pool area is very protected, so in direct sunshine, it’s lovely. Plus I’m not as cold-sensitive as most.

Today was my first real bike ride of the year, i.e. on the road, as opposed to on a watt bike in the gym. Refreshing.

I hope that was by Pinarello. Although the frame is very stiff and not at all easy to ride a distance unless you’re one of those 0% body fat pro riders. (Which none of us are!). I bought a Giant Fast Road Comax now which is basically a road frame with flat bars. I find it far easier and more comfy and at about £1200, less to worry about. It’s on the turbo trainer now and I’m doing 30-60mins a day while on the phone in my home office!

I still have the Pinarello I bought from you Athol, but I was on the Cervelo today. The Pin has a puncture from last summer that I’ve not got around to fixing yet.

I’ve still got a great source for these so if you want a newer Dogma with di2 gears (which are incredible), let me know. Ex-pro team training bikes from Italy.

Some lovely pushbikes being talked about here.

I've got a Cannondale carbon Ultegra Synapse that I did JOGLE on 3 years ago. For my body shape, this is a perfect fit and blend of log distance comfort and sporting .... it is also still one of the lightest bikes I have ever ridden. Always wanted di2 but not sure I can warrant the expense.

Back to the topic - I dropped another 2 pounds last week :)

Out of interest, what sort of money is a used Dogma with di2 gears? (PM me if you prefer)

Out for a lunchtime run .. and 45 seconds quicker than my last 5k.
Well done, BUT officially, it’s not official until it has passed the drug testing scrutinisers.
Mo farah will be around to yours with a test kit shortly.

That’s good going, and huge chunk of time off the last run.

I did a 5km on the runner today, but accidentally knocked the incline increase button halfway though and didn’t notice for a while (just thought I was even less fit than usual), and that threw my rhythm and motivation. Came in at 32.30, with two 15 sec stops for water. Hope to do better next time. Though running was never my strong point, even when I was fit.
