Most of it is indulgence from the festive period, run up and during, so now back to my Oct / Nov position. Exercise plan in place as well, and much more walking (use stairs, get off the tram as stop or two earlier if it's not raining). It will slow down now to 1 or 2 lbs a week if it goes as it normally does. Bike should be back from the repair shop next week which will mean more exercise which as muscle builds slows any nett gains
Well done, that’s a lot of weight to shift after Christmas.

Ok - so I’m back in the game, and have managed to lose a little bit of weight.

Weight this morning: 94.05 kg

Weight on New Years Day: 95.50 kg

This masks an increase to 96kg in the first week, but overall it‘s 1/2 a kilo a week, which is about 1lb/week, and is ok. So far this has been done by trying to watch what I eat, spending some time on my bike on Zwift, long walks with the dogs, and trying (but largely failing) to have more days that I don’t drink any alcohol...

What I know I need to do is to start using my weights some more... I just lack motivation.

To be fair Jon I find all on here a motivation to me and finding the process to be quite enjoyable.
Fighting hunger is the hardest bit.
I mowed the lawns yesterday and came in starving looked in the fridge and did a chunk of cheese :(

Cmon JonW you can do it. Why don’t you incorporate the wine bottles into your routine as weights, but resist the temptation to open them!
Slow progress is better than no progress.

Not been overtly part of this so far but H signed us up for Slimming World and went for the fist weigh in recently - 5lbs off in a week so down to 16st2.

I've not had a drink for 2 weeks which I suspect helps hugely but it's mainly a low fat, low sugar diet but you can eat as much lean meat, pasta etc. as you like so I'm not finding it too hard (apart from the beer!). Back into going to the gym a couple of times a week and walking for an hour at lunch time when possible as well.

Thanks all. I’m sure I’ll find my mojo eventually...

This morning was a good walk with the dogs around Box Hill. This is the elevation profile...

Pretty sure my geography teacher would have scrawled 'virtual exageration' on that :D

But it's still 1200ft so bloody well done!

I'm not sure this is the recommended method but I've felt that bad with man flu since I started 2 weeks ago I can tell I've lost weight in the last 10 days , I've barely eaten anything though , mostly soup

I feel bloody rough though , slept for 18 hours on and off yesterday

Been a Good one for me 12,500 steps pushing the lawnmower around 4,000 square metres of garden doing 9.2 kilometres and 1800 calories burnt.
Was quite enjoyable with some Castrol R in the fuel and burning mud and grass on the mower.
Feel tired now.

On business in Düsseldorf, entertaining clients with pork knuckle and beer, for the week. If I only put on 2lbs per day I’ll be pleased.

I'd take that calorie count with a pinch of (low sodium) salt, but good long walk there!

Cheers Chris I can certainly feel it tonight.
The calories thing always gets me as so hard to burn.

Far easier to eat than burn, that's for sure?
Typically I burn about 100 calories per mile (apparently, but that's across several different calculators) but it's all good!
