Well done newton, I had similar feedback from my yearly MOT earlier in the year and the added weight loss incentive from here is helping keep the motivation up. No weigh in tomorrow as not home this weekend.

Inspiring Newton
Great
More good news from me
I am back to 12 stone 10 lbs as before Christmas so me too dead chuffed. My original plan was to drop another couple of pounds but I have decided against that and my aim now is to to stay where I am. I am happy with my lifestyle and can drink (alcohol) and eat as I wish (more or less) with no side effects.
As spring approaches I will be outside in the garden and other jobs that will keep me active so slight change of target but I am happy with it.
Thanks you lot for cajoling and supporting etc

Excellent news Newton,
Ok, for the cyclists, I did an FTP on the bike at work today, climbed off at the 20 minute point with an FTP of 169; I know you are supposed to go to exhaustion but the gym was full of ordinary people who probably didn’t want to see/ hear an English northerner nearly dying, my question is what do I do/ use that number for now, if anything?

I realised part way through today that in my 90 day dry challenge, I am officially.....

Perversely, it feels like that deserves a beer to celebrate, so I’m going to buy 4 alcohol free ones on the way home and have a mini-party!

Good going Jon. I tried Becks blue, Bud Zero, brewdog nannystate (realised that was 0.5% so actually alcohol ) becks blue was the least ****. Southwoulds does a drinkable Zero Ghostship. What you gone for ?

1st time back out on the road bike tomorrow morning (actually outside lol) since September. My old mans come down from the midlands for a ride, bikes all clean and ready to go. Looking forward to getting back into a cycling routine and getting my fitness back up.

Ghost ship is 0.5% as well

Bit too (citra) hoppy for me. Many of the low alcohol ones seem to go heavy on the hops.
I like Nanny State, but there are some really good ones out there.

I actually didn’t buy some in the end, but am a big fan of the Nannystate, the Estrella D amn, or the San Miguel Zero

Drinking this month but avoiding carbs and on Allbran.

Last night weigh in: 90.3kg so first target about to be breached. It’s slow but it’s coming off.

Well done, Matt. The boxing must help - it's brutal. All Bran's a menace. 30 minutes after a bowl of that stuff and the gate of **** open. Bran Flakes do the same job (sorry) but with a longer fuse.

No clue what I weigh but I'm a skinny sod so that's not really the issue, but I'm certainly feeling better for regular rowing and weights. Mrs Crud is concerned that I'm over-doing it and will end up having a heart attack or a stroke. Hopefully I won't - it would kind of defeat the point of this whole fitness gig.

I will hopefully be able to announce a milestone tomorrow (missed it by a whisker this morning); it has been a long time coming it seems!

Great work Newton. You must be and should be really happy with that. That is a major shift in the right direction.

Brilliant! Well done, Newton. To give you some context, that’s the birth weight of a southern sea lion. Or a moose.
