White is the way to go...The black looks nice but the white shows the lines much better......

Just can't do white cars although I agree many look very nice these days. It would get obliterated in 2 mins before I got the end of my lane. Also doesn't suit my preferred understated stance in life.

A problem in this country for about 3 days :D

Given the results posted by so many with ceramic coatings, I have to say that black is probably back on for me, although still not preferred. I'd want some tan or similar interior, though.

And black would be no different either buddy....….Best go for something in a more interesting hue.....

The lack of colour in the Maserati pallet is the reason I am still in my GS and not a GT (Although that is 2x black).

Looking at Autotrader you may as well view in monochrome.

I think if that was metallic red, or especially metallic blue, it would have been sold already.

It is an odd one Pete.....I know that Maserati was aimed at the discerning buyer rather than the rainbow colour Ferraris but still those who bought new must have had a yearning for the days of black and white TV....

Good luck finding a 2 seat Strad in blue, Jon! There’s only one and it’s not for sale, unfortunately.

Is that the one Meriden sold Ewan...The one in Victory blue I keep posting......Do we know who has that and is it still in the UK ?

I recognise I’m an oddity, but I don’t think I would ever want a Strad, and especially not a 2 seat one.

I get that the 2 seaters are rarer and all that, but the Granturismo is a big heavy car, and for me at least it is a bit too big to have fun with on country roads. However, it does make a fabulous Grand Tourer, and looks and sounds amazing, so I understand why people make the choice they make.

However, if you strip the back seats out and then compare it with other two seater sports cars, as a toy car, I’m not convinced the Strad would win on any logical measure...

There's a very good reason most owners chose to have black when ordering a new Granturismo..... Because it looks best in black, simple.

(although I do really like grigio granito and think that shows the lines off the best)

I do agree, that the interior needs a contrast though. I loved my first GT, but the all black interior didn't feel anywhere near as special like my new one does.

For about 30 seconds. And with the black leather they are roasting in the summer. I mean * would*. I'd just rather not.

C
the bit where ones bum goes is alcantara on a 2 seater strad, argument eliminated :) they never get that hot to be honest, and we have 5 months >30C here.

I think that is the point Jon :)

As strange as it seems, it is often why cars become classics. At this stage in the car's life few are looking to buy because they want or need 4 seats or need the car for any practical reason. They are buying it because it is bonkers.

By your logic you still need an MC-V which is of course another excellent choice :)

Agreed - if I had an extra £60k I was willing to use to buy a car, I would have bought an MC-V already or would buy one tomorrow (assuming one of the current lucky owners was willing to sell)…

I can also see how people might buy a 2 seat Strad as part of a car collection just because it makes no sense, and is bonkers, and looks and sounds amazing.. However, that’s not my world, and I think I’m unlikely to ever be in the position of being a collector
