Could I please ask what costs £5,000 at a service. This is really worrying for a car thats done under 10,000 miles isn't it?
Makes the Ferrari 7 year free servicing seem like a bargain if you buy at 60% of the RRP with several years left on it!

hi ian,
total bill was about that but included all wheels refurbished , new tyres, and being the 4 year service was a major one so included front and rear lambda sensors and other bits like fuel filter(£162)air filter(£86)pollen filter(£63)just what im reading from the invoice and obviously maserati tax......next service is minor so should be no more than £1200 hopefully lol

Not to spoil the advert but I too get concerned with huge invoices!

as i said nothing out of the ordinary with these cars....the previous owner decided to get wheels refurbed and new tyres from main dealer,so cost was not an issue too him....and gray paul in edinburgh are not the cheapest from what i have heard

That’s lovely. Quite rare also, as most Sport cars had the auto shift rather than MC shift box. And it’s all the better for that. GLWS.

to me a big invoice means the car has been looked after with no expense spared:)

Interesting how different people respond differently... I’m of the view the £5k recent invoice proves the car was maintained with no expense spared, and is positive...

thanks jonW me too !!!
I agree in many ways. Not taking anything away from the advert- definitely a positive thing from a sale point of view . It’s just ludicrous that that sort of money needs spending on a ‘new’ car (mileage wise).
I think it looks a great car though , low mileage, nicely speccdd at a very reasonable price- and the main dealer warranty will give good peace of mind.

When I had my Ferrari 456 back in 2012 mileage in the low 20'S it had a invoice in its comprehensive history for £13,000 I knew I couldn't really afford to keep this car longer than a year.

New tyres and wheel refurbishments are hardly standard service items, and take these away from the bill and it seems more reasonable. Remember, it’s easy to spend £1k just on a wash (well, a detail and ceramic coating). I like to see a car that has been pampered, this being one of them.

I was quoted nearly £4K for a major service by a MD recently. Some hard negotiating ensued but if you just accept it then it's not hard to get to that sort of figure.

bear in mind the lambda sensors and carbon canister (the additional expense in the 4 year/major service) are really optional, assuming they are still in working order. Only change them if you need to.

modern Maseratis cost more to run than Ferraris is what I'm learning

But why would you pay that when there are well respected independents who will do a major service for around £1000?

Really? Depends what you mean by a 'major' service I suppose. There are 1 year items, 2 year items, 3 year items and 4 year items. I would expect major to be the 4 Year version. That is not £1000
