Well - that didn't take long. Now sold to another forum member and being collected tomorrow morning.
£30,995 now, on Pistonheads too at that price too. Silly amount of car for that money.
Madness. At this rate I'll be holding for a Strad come 2020!
Assuming I can resist temptation that long......

Well on the one hand, mine is dropping in value, and I'll continue to use it.
On the other hand, it appears that the higher spec models are dropping faster, so I'll have less of a gap to close. Which is nice

Problem is that with the GranTurismo the market is doing exactly what it always has with Italian coupes in that miles kill values. Athol's car sold in no time but it is a limited run model and only had 2000 miles pa on it. Use these cars as many have including me and they 'enjoy' the normal depreciation curve. My 61 plate auto 4.7 banging the door on 50k miles is probably debating whether its trade price now begins with a 2. I just wish that they would replace the GranTurismo as its time for a change.
Indeed, of course the gap is relative so will fall in ££ in time. What worries me more with the GranTurismo is that we are entering that age old problem area where maintenance costs are too much relative to used values for a ten year old car, hence people miss stuff and the cars whither away to scrap. Of course you could do small miles and values will be fine but all in you will still drop ££ long term as maintenance does not go away. Maserati need to sort out parts costs and longevity, suspension bushes being a good example as the parts are not fit for purpose.
