2010 Granturismo 4.7S MC Shift

Hello all. Having worked my way through the coupe models I have had the pleasure of owning this car for around a year. Having bought a good car to start with, I have developed a great car with all the usual issues sorted. The exhaust valves are stuck open but I have deliberately left them as the exhaust sound is amazing.
Recently had front end paint correction due to stone chips. Also new discs and pads all round. New upper front suspension bushes and springs. New Bosch battery.Very good Pilot Sport S tyres all round. Full service history. Clutch was replaced 10k miles ago and had upgraded actuator fitted. Just had new potentiometers fitted. Clutch wear is 19%.
Also had cam cover gaskets replaced and corrosion proofed underneath including both sub frames. This car has an engine no after Maserati sorted the variator issue so no issues there. Full headlining replaced last year as well. Recent mot with no advisories.
As we all know, there is no such thing as a cheap Maserati and this is great value for money. Based in Edinburgh.
The eagle eyed around will note the parking sceape on the front bumper and this will be sorted. Interior is mint and external paintwork is excellent. Switches are fine with little or no stickiness.

Certainly a Good looking British Sports car and I'm glad you said crude.
I've done lots of work on one here over the last few years.
You certainly have to have your wits about you with the steering and brakes.

Absolutely. Brakes on my last one were lethal but passed an mot. How? Steering on this one is excellent and that's with 205s fitted. I had to change to 165s on my last one as the steering was so heavy. I think it's due to the resto. People tend to upgrade everything such as polybushing and it destroys the ride. Similarly with the clutch. They are a pig to get right. However, if you stick to original spec then it's absolutely fine. I suspect a Stag is better in every way!

The Stag will feel positively Modern.
The TR6 I describe as a Fast Land Rover and what amazed me was that they have Lever Arm Shocks unless yours has been modified.
 
Nope. Lever arms at the rear. Easily modified.
Fast land-rover is an excellent description!
My last one was polybushed and had spax shockers. Too hard and rattled your fillings out! Not as bad as the sports suspension option on my 996, that was undrivable!
 
Caught up with Gordon aka Flexwing yesterday as I'm in Edinburgh for the weekend.

Good to chat all things Maser and he kindly took me for a spin in his "For Sale" Granturismo MC Shift.

Its wanted for nothing during his ownership, looks great and drives brilliantly and reminded me what great pieces of kit these are.

If youre in the market, check it out as someone is going to get a fantastic car for silly money really.

Cheers David. Took the Maserati to the Scottish Italian Car Show at Hopetoun House today. As usual, the bypass was a car park and the traffic was awful. The car handled it no problem at all, so the MC gearbox works perfectly well in demanding conditions.
Great to meet you and Linda and I hope all went well with the marathon. So warm!

Seen this today I’m sure at Hopetoun on the left of main car park when leaving, looked absolutely immaculate!

Congratulations. I’m selling my 2010 4.7S with MC Sport Line as well (sadly) and would appreciate any helpful tips.
 
Hi there. Car has to be perfect with no advisories and perfect history. I laid it all out with supporting invoices etc.
I posted in local car club FB pages and it generated a lot if interest. Also has to be sensibly priced. Check out prices online and be realistic. Cheers.
