Greetings from Dubai. Came across a 2009 Granturismo S with 60k miles. What are the things to be aware of?

Busy days for all :)

Forgot to mention that it's an F1 and I am surprised to see change interval of clutch, bearing, sensor is average 15k miles. Gransport was good for longer as I remember.

Also I noticed to be aware of the cam variator. Does this have an cost effective solution? Can any experienced mechanic identify this problem?

Thanks for possibility to support as I need to decide tomorrow.

Front suspension bushes
Front subframes rot
Variators (£3000 fix)
Cam cover gaskets
Engine mounts
Brakes
You really should get it professionally inspected so you have something to bargain with, some of the above, if not most of it, could very well need doing (I bought one that needed all of the above except variators)
Re. Clutch.. mine had it’s first replacement at 60,000 miles so ignore the 15,000 advice.. it’s rubbish, unless you reverse your car uphill for most of your driving!

Bebs gave you good advice + check that all stuf work, like all buttons, AC, other electronics and so on.
Of course proffesional inspection would be the best if you have one that really knows its stuff.
Regarding clutch, I changed it as soon as I bought it...I'm 3rd owner, car had 84.000 km...so if you drive it normal it should last muuuuuch longer than 15k.

All the above is good advice. -
Brakes can be costly, so check they've got some life in them. The same with tyres.
Bushes will knock if properly worn, but uneven tyre wear may be an early sign.
Variators will rattle on cold start if they are failing. So make sure the car hasn't been started for a few hours before your viewing.
There maybe evidence in the service history of them being replaced already.

As said, check everything works. Usual suspects are Parking sensors, Auto wipers, Electronic parking brake, TPMS if it has it.

A/C compressor bearings are known to fail also.
Interior panels can also start de-laminating. That might be a problem in your hot country.

Great information guys, thank you. Car is now at a pro service (servicing many exotic cars including Ferraris) and waiting his good news.
