Hi Matt,
I was not having a go when I said I thought your car slightly high on price. I recently bought my 4200 after months of searching and during that time saw lots of cars, the majority overpriced and on sale for many months. A 2003 car has a value window and it has to be priced within that window, if it's a CAT car that reduces the top figure. These facts are realistic and not meant to be antagonistic.
I hope you get what you want for your car, but be prepared to be flexible.
Cheers
R

Hi
No problem at all, car values are very subjective and usually differ between buyer and seller :) . What isn't too good is someone suggesting your car maybe problamatic on an internet forum when its anything but that's the internet.

Good time to be a buyer of a 4200 that's for sure.

Hey matt, i wasn't suggesting your car is problematic, just giving my perspective on how I would interpret a car with so little miles having had so much money spent early in its life. You need to express why these costs have been incurred in your ad, it's all valuable provedance that goes in your favour when it comes to finding a buyer

I'm disappointed Matt, I showed a lot of genuine interest in the car and I didn't receive anything about you dropping the price even after all our correspondance. Never mind!!

I posted on the forum the price had been dropped as I needed the space, think I gave it away to be honest, but the market for 4200's seems very "compressed".....ie not a huge spread between near scrap and a decent usable car, so not unhappy.

Anyway first to see bought it, so down to one now :(

Ps. Thanks for the advice all ref price, appears I was a little bullish initially.

Nice you found your old Alfa. I'm still looking, in vain, for my old 1969 Lotus Europa, TTC 566H , if anyone knows.............
