I remember lurking on the old dead UK forum about the same time before buying mine, now 10 years ago.
It's the normal behaviour isn't it, you have this idea...

I don't have time for lurking. Just get the car bought, go all in and go from there. 18 months OP is a while to wait, you have more patience than I ever want or need, but welcome. We share the same colour car :D (boot, bonnet and door shuts only)

What a fantastic car and colour combination. I’m very jealous of the interior but just could not find that in a GranCab Sport with a blue exterior when I was looking (that was my perfect spec)

As a fellow lurker I was looking for over 10 months and I have to thank some of the guys on this forum for helping me steer past a couple of wrongun’s before I found my gem. Nothing wrong with taking the time to look for what you want. Now you have it, enjoy every minute!

massive congratulations and, personally, I think the wheel colour change would look fab!

To be fair still had my Lotus Elise while lurking, and it was a possible idea to buy, at the time, a 3200GT.
Then while lurking the market fell to make it feasible to buy a 4200, and my Elise went up because of the euro/pound exchange rate, and the bit in the middle was just few thou. Happy Days!

At the time I couldn't believe it.
'99 Elise S1 111s with 58K miles, 12 years old, for a '02 Maserati with 11K miles, 9 years old, for only £3k.
The Maserati younger, hardly any miles, mint, twice the list price.
Easy decision to make!

The thing with the Elise, and i've never owned one, would be attracting the mid 30's baseball cap bald guys. At least with a rati you can attract those of twice that vintage ;)

Whenever i drove to a client in the megane cup i had to explain why i was driving it. The BMW never and the Porsche just attracted your clearly doing too well comments. The maserati - wow is that a maserati :D

Back to topic - great car OP.

The wheel is colour is growing on me as I’m spending time with the car, haven’t taken it above 6000 rpm yet and the sports button and flappy paddles are treats yet to be explored, I do find out the road runs out quickly at the slightest push of the pedal, hoping to join in on some meets, especially the Ace Cafe

Very nice - congrats. And once you've explored the sport button and flappy paddles you'll be even happier - so don't hang around!

I'll bring my 'spare' wheel to give you an idea of the mercury grigio colour.

Ah yes. One of the crosses one must bear as a Maserati driver.
I suspect that anywhere but an empty motorway, a circuit track or an airfield built for B52's
is going to run out quickly when the hedgerows start to blur :p
In my neck of the woods there's that, plus, trying to keep tabs on unmarked traffic branch
cars, that keep bloody changing!
