Been doing some serious thinking recently and have had thoughts about selling my 116 Giulietta, the issue being I won't give it away, it will need a passionate Alfisti to understand what it is and one who is prepared to dig deep into their pocket to wrestle it from my hands.

Fair point, although I would argue mine has been ignoring that fact for years - not all old Alfas rot

All mine did :) . Do you take yours out in the salty season, then leave it outside?

I don't think any of mine ever made it through an MOT without welding. And that included the V6 rebuild, a year after it went back on the road!

Very rarely on both counts but it has been out in winter and has been left on the drive

Since I have had mine it has only failed one MOT and that was for small number plates, over sensitive inspector as that plate has passed ever other year before and since and insufficient washer spray which just needed the pipes clearing.

Took the opportunity to do some odds and sods on the old girl, fitted a new brake light pedal switch, found and fitted rear window winders, also found a working interior light and clock in my spares box so fitted that. Emptied and stored all the panels that had been in the bottom since we moved over and then treated her to clean, snow foam, 2 bucket wash, clay bar, another 2 bucket wash and dry with mirco fibre clothes. Tomorrow I will treat her to a couple of coats of wax and a good polish but she's not looking too bad as it is.73556

Just stonking.

As I said in Modena I really fancied a Ghibli and a Giulietta parked in the garage. Problem is that's as far as they'd get.....

I admire Alfa oddness, it’s cool but does have an @rse only a mother could love. I like it.
