So on Saturday the Ghibli passed the 100k mile mark.
Must say its been a fabulous car.. have loved almost every minute of driving it. I have had a few minor issues, including and most annoyingly new discs kept "warping" on the front, but all ok now.

It flattened its battery once overnight, but apart from that its been great mechanically.

Its been a pleasure to own and drive. And I intend on keeping it for a while yet.

Its the diesel V6. It does drive as nicely, still feels tight. Theres a slight chatter from the rear (I think antiroll bar bushes) over certain surfaces, but its been like that since 50k miles!

Great to hear. Just passed 30k in mine over weekend.

Warping front discs? mmm

Had new discs and pads fitted recently on mine and getting brake judder which is a bit disconcerting. Going to get it looked at.

What symptoms did you have and how was it resolved?

Thanks

Bad judder under braking. It was a bit of a saga in the end but got sorted. To cut a long story short..
Needed new pads which dealer fitted. Soon after bad judder. I sourced discs (from Maserati dealer not local to me), had them fitted independantly. Judder returned. Independant garage checked everything, nothing obvious. Maserati uninterested in replacing the discs as they hadnt fitted them. Had them skimmed in situ. Worked for a bit, judder returned. Bit bullet and got dealer to replace front discs and pads. Judder returned. Dealer re replaced under warranty and been fine since! That was over about a 12 month period.

OK thanks for that.

Sounds very familiar.

Congratulations from a fellow Ghibli Diesel owner, for me a little over four years but only 12,000 miles.
I would entirely echo your thoughts on the car!!

That is great to hear that you have had 100k almost without any trouble!! My car officially became 'The Beast' a few weeks ago before tucking her up for the winter!

When we were at the factory last week the head of the tours told me they had someone from Slovakia turn up with a QP5 with 420,000 km on it. He had never had to do any engine work on it.
Not even the variators? ;)
