Rare to find these models but kind of expensive for what it is.
I find that for 1:43 models generally; but I’ll make an exception for this as it’s probably as close as I’ll ever get to owning a real one.

Thanks for that, 'General (& Dicky)

yes; I'm all over eBay.

As it happens I have several of these from a few years ago. I'll get some footage in due course...

here we go

fuel-fillers are on the wrong side obvs. However, the front end detailing is often compromised at this scale/ resolution; but these aren't so bad...
I think there's even a roll-cage in the Open-Cup!

Mine turned up a while ago. Any tips on painting? I have the primer and the correct shade (French blue, obviously).
Been decades since I did any model making.

Get someone else to do it.

I had a go at paining a model XR3i years ago, and figured that painting model cars isn't for me, it looked a right dogs dinner!

Look at the state of this and how much the guy wanted for it! Dreamer!

Great provenance though. I believe this was painted by Monet, near the end of his career.

funny

I didn't paint mine; my ex had them made up to match existing cars-

the silver one has my plate on it, the yellow one is a replica of Drummond Bone's car (he petitioned the factory to get them to do the right-hand-drive versions) and the race car is obviously from an existing Open Cup.

They were quite a bit of money at the time, and took months to be completed.

You probably already know this but the ex-Drummond car had a successful weekend.

I'm going down the spray can route rather than brushes.

Sorry Andy; I don't know- I've still got a blank one actually in kit form; which I've never got round to having a go at; in 18 years.

er, no
- what do you mean, Nayf, regarding the yellow car?

I know the guy who owns it locally to me- he 'was' (when I was last in touch with him); Chairman of the 'Club..?

How do you mean 'successful'..?
