04 spyder,I had changed the engine and it runs great. However, the low battery light is always on when the car is running, and after the car warms up, the oil pressure light flashes, especially when the fans come on. I have put a mechanical gauge on , and at 195 degrees F the oil pressure is never lower than 22 psi. I replaced the sender with no better results. I took it to the dealer, and they said it had a bad alternator and pressure sender. I again replaced the sender, the alternator, and the battery. The problems still remained. I then checked all the grounds, and repaired a gang of 7 ground wires behind the passenger side cylinder head, and the problem remained. I changed the bridge can box and what i believe is the gauge driver box(black box next to the bridge can box), the cluster all out of a parts spyder, and it still has the same issues. I am running out of ideas, and the car now sits collecting dust with the dash all apart. I have also changed the oil two times with the proper weight Mobil 1. Please help me before I go bald.Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Rich worth a call to Myles of Emblem or Roberto of Grimaldi engineering , possibly somethings quite minor in the scale of things , take it the auxillary belt isnt slipping , both the quoted techs are really helpful guys and would be quite willing to give you some pointers

Have you done any voltage checks to see what is actually being dlivered around the car? If not, start at the battery terminals, then fusebox(es), and instrument panel if it is still accessible. If you have, what did you get?

Were the electrics working correctly before you changed the engine?

Yes, it sounds as if the usual methodical diagnositic will get to the bottom of this.......it will take a bit of time and quality workshop to come to a conclusion....let the guys mentioned above take over for you........fingers crossed as it will either be fairly obvious or quite complex....keep us appraised of the situation.....and good luck!

PS Why did the engine need changed, any other relevant previous history?
