Picture for attention... but here’s the issue. Passenger side weatherstripping is missing a one inch chunk right where the window engages it on door opening and closing. Makes high speeds noisier than desired. Looking to replace entire door’s weather stripping .

I found several sources for replacement weatherstripping for older models but nothing for the 4200/Coupe. Anyone have a source or a suitable replacement?

Judging by his forum name underwater for months of the year.

Nice sparkly 4200 there, Todd. On leave perchance. I'm sure you can find a generic replacement weatherstrip by the roll.

Door seal is £££ new, so second hand prices are high as well.

David Askew may have some or Maserati Shead

Unfortunately speeds are rather.... limited... most of the year by weather. I’m just N of Seattle, and enjoying the beginning of Spring. A bit like England, but with enormous mountains as a backdrop.

Of course would rather use “correct” weatherstripping, if possible, hence chatting up this august group, as my experience is mostly keeping old muscle cars running. This is a next level toy for me and I’d like to treat her right.

My underwater days have thankfully come to a close, I’ve moved on recently to designing software for subs. Definitely leaves me smelling more pleasant at the end of the day.

As for the 4200 (just called “Coupe” over here) quote sparkly, enhanced a bit with the Camera+ app, which is highly recommended for car pics. Helps correct the lighting and exposure far better than I could do manually.

Welcome Todd, I too am a yank that hangs out here on SM. If you think coupe weatherstrip is expensive, take a look at seals for a spyder. $3000/per side! You might try Scuderia Car Parts, they have been able to order parts for me that others say are out of stock. Beautiful car by the way, and I have to ask (as I do for all black 4200s) what is the color code? Thanks, Ed

Have a look on Ebay UK, there are a couple for sale ranging from around between £175 and £500 worth getting a genuine seal as nothing I have seen matches.

Thanks for the tip, eBay US was of no help. On order and now we wait!
Much left to do: replace all stereo components, install Formula Dynamics DBW, and install Brassworks heater core for starters.
