Nayf and I have just been chatting about that one, and I'm off to view it next week. It needs a fair spend on it to get it back up to standard (engine out cam-chain service, leather work, paint, etc), but it's a late one with sensible mileage, so could well be worth saving. If it stacks up, I'll buy it.

Thanks for the warm welcome, everybody!

Are these car’s ‘mechanically’ reliable? Always liked the classsics!

With my experience with just that one car, which was serviced constantly by Italian specialists, I would say, yes, they can be reliable.
The chassis and body is built pretty solid.
Mine never broke down, always starts, usually doesn’t show “check engine”.
If there were issues, it was always the electrics (incl. for instance suddenly dropping oil pressure, that scared me to death ).

Congrats and welcome!

How big is the Ghibli fleet in German?

Hi spacecadet,

difficult to answer. We have an annual Maserati Meeting in Frankfurt, where in 2017 we celebrated “25 years Ghibli”. There, maybe 15-20 cars participated. (Attached a photo of mine next to a strangely modified on )

Enrico counts 50 for Germany out of 500 he knows in total on his Maserati page.
There are certainly some more stored and forgotten somewhere.
