Question …. My 2017 GT with 20,000 miles is in for a service and have just been told it needs to shock absorbers and being quoted just shy of £5k plus fitting? How can they have failed at such relative low mileage? Is that really the price of these? Any alternative suggestions?

Obviously did something last night when trying to wire something in .... . battery was dead this morning ! ... I don’t know if I pulled a wrong fuse whilst trying to find an ignition switched one .... but now I have CHECK ENGINE light on ... Seems to drive ok etc ..... but what do I do...
