What’s the best way to tell if the battery is on its way out? Aside from just replacing it! Is there something I can check to make sure or is it just these kinds of tell tale signs?

It’s fallen right through and is in the cavity behind the lower front grille. I can spear or capture it, but I can’t get it through the holes available!! I’m sure I’ll manage without it though, I suspect there will be bigger fish to fry in the future!!

absolutely! And had skewers through the grille to try and get it! :) looks like a standard part though £3 eBay job. while I’m here, I do need a new switch cover for the seat adjuster and and wing mirror knob. The switches work fine but the black knob bit has fallen off both. Any solutions...

It’s not dissimilar to the Porsche world I’ve just left, so eyes open on that front!! Elastic band and some cloth for now will stand in for it!
