Thanks spkennyuk I've tried that- the problem is that it does not do what it says in the manual .i.e. the light does not flash for 4 seconds, it just stays on! Nothing happens!! Guess it's off to Maserati again! Should have bought an Aston! : (

I meant I was going to use a self tapper and weld that on - the flower type pin is well shot! In fact, the pin is not in much better shape! I'll give it a go and if needs be, I'll have to buy a new mechanism!!

Thanks. I've already drilled the hole but there are not many of the 'teeth' left on the 'pin'. I think I will try a self-tapping bolt and then also spot weld it in place! Have a good holiday.

Ok, getting somewhere, just found the loose wire/connector in pic3 is for the diversity box, as they are unconnected under the rear headrests! Still no signal for the radio but, the battery is almost flat now so will continue investigation tomorrow!

Thanks, Just removed center armrest and all the connections seem to be plugged into the unit including the ariel. I'm starting wonder if it just a faulty radio!

Ah, it does have the brake vent on the sides! So GS front panel it is! More evidence that it's a pre-face lift.

I knew it was a GS side skirt when purchased but wasn't sure if the nose cone is the same on the facelift and the GS, or if it was original? Thanks for your help.
