Any advice how to remove the steering rack (2003 Spyder)? Do you need to remove the cats from the exhaust manifold for space to remove it? The rack itself is loose, but can't get it out. Thanks for the help.

Advice needed! I bought my Spyder in August 2019. Since I bought it, the coolant temp gauge is not working. I replaced the temp sensor. I can 'read' the temp with my iPhone with an OBD2 reader. The temp is like it should be when warm. Next I sent my dash to an expert to have the gauge...

Found the problem! I manually opened the top to see if starting the procedure with the top open would help. Started the car and the top closed with the button... Until the top cover closed. Then the procedure stopped. The last part, with the window, wouldn't close. Again manually closed the top...

@Andy Marshall The situation is that the top is currently closed. The top system should self diagnose after the ignition is on. After the top is closed manually, the windows should be closed for the system to 'recalibrate' (after 30 sec from memory). But that doesn't happen. The light keeps...

Thanks all for your suggestions. I can toggle the switch forward and backward. Will try to disconnect it and see if that makes a change. I'm used to working on Porsche 911 (classic and modern), but this baby is a complete new adventure. :)

After a battery reset, as soon as I lift the handbrake (without pressing the switch), the windows will open immediately. Impatient? Probably

Hi, Searched the forum, but cannot find the answer. Any help is appreciated! Since August 2019 a 4200 GT Spyder owner (2003). Disassembled the Spyder, had it resprayed professionally and currently rebuilding it. During disassembly I opened the top (and it stayed that way during the respray)...

Yes, checked the bottom (twice). Unfortunately not there. Guess they didn't put it back when they tried to repair it. :( I just sent 2 companies an email if they can duplicate the spring. A picture of the Spyder (manual gearbox, 79K km):

New to the forum! Read a lot of tips/tricks, but now I need your help. Purchased a 2004 Spyder in Q3 2019 (yellow) that I'm currently restoring. Just came back from the painter and I'm rebuilding it now. The window regulator on the right side was 'repaired' in the past and is missing the spring...
