On my manual GT (4200) the leather shift boot lifts straight up with plastic clips holding underneath... Top and bottom corners from what I recall. Best picture I could find attached. judging by the schematic you posted, it looks like yours pulls up similar to mine and has two bolts that hold...

Nope, super easy to realign and tighten down the screws. Mine had a few already removed, but you may be able to loosen the two rear most screws and lift up for access to the rest. Mine was halfway disassembled, but it looks like you need to start with the armrest pocket and work your way...
