I asked my (independent) mechanic about doing a clutch wear check on my MCV. He thinks it's just another thing to 'worry' about. "When the clutch starts to give trouble is the time to replace it" was his advice.

I'm quite sure I would not have these current cars, if I went on advice from others. I buy what I want :- 1924 Lancia Lambda, 1925 Vauxhall 30-98, 1938 Morgan 4/4, 1954 VW Beetle, AND 2006 Maserati MCV. Oh, and my daily drive is a 2018 Golf wagon (estate) - AND it's WHITE...

I'm sure the Sydney dealer will have them. It's not due for an oil change for a while, so I'll order them there. Just thought you may like to 'clear some stock'...

Not sure if the oil filter I have is suitable for my MCV. It's a blue Maserati filter, numbered 479.04.09.00. I cannot remember if it's one left over from the 3200GT or not. OK for the MCV or not?

Enjoying the 30-98...

.My Vauxhall 30-98 will be 100 years old next year. There's no reason why it won't last another 100 years. Recently it did a 1000 mile plus trip, without any problems. New cars are made to last 10 years. I rest my case...
