    3200 GTA AC 08/75 FS

It was immaculate when I sold it, and still looks great. Not a fan of those mats but the car itself still looks fantastic. I think I sold it at around 48k miles, so it’s not done many miles over the past 12 years or so!

    CAR AUCTIONS

Sold for £18k plus fees - seems high for a car that’s missed 10 services, but that’s the nature of auctions…just need a couple of people to really want it! The same car was sold on the same platform 2 years ago for £19k, which again seemed strong at the time. The recent higher miles but properly...

    3200 ACs For Sale

I owned the red one from 2011-2012 (sold in April 2012). I bought it from some that owned it from 2005 to 2011. I sold it to alfettafan who owned it til 2016 I think. Allandwf I remember you wanting the car but being unable to sell your Tuscan in time to buy it. There was quite a lot of interest...

    Lovely Gransport for sale

At one point it said “reserve lowered”, which I took to mean there was a reserve initially. I also got an email to say the reserve had been lowered. It changed to “no reserve” once it got to around £13k.

    Lovely Gransport for sale

£13.5k plus fees was around what I wanted to pay too, though to caveat this I was only interested on a whim and wasn’t really looking to buy another one…. so would’ve only been interested at a great price. I think the reserve was £13k.

    Lovely Gransport for sale

I’ve seen them for less (through auctions). abidk - if it’s any consolation there’s nothing to say you would’ve got it for the next bid, or the one after that, or the next one…..

    Lovely Gransport for sale

I bid too but at that price I think the miles need to be lower. Perfectly good at that mileage but still higher than most GS.

    Lovely Gransport for sale

Sold for £14,200 - so £14,900 with fees. I was tempted, but it actually sold for more than I expected.

Anyone interested in my 2005 Gransport?

I think it depends how long you've been a member of PH

    2007 / Blu Nettuno 1 Owner GS

Ah, sorry - I missed that it was dealer. Price closer then. Whilst 50k might be low mileage due the age, it’s slightly high for GS… not that it should matter. I’ve seen a slight increase in GS asking prices recently on Autotrader, but it doesn’t look like they are actually selling any quicker...

The rise of the used car market

Haha, yes - only for low risk stuff they can flog quickly!

    2007 / Blu Nettuno 1 Owner GS

Nice looking car, and nice that it’s 1 owner, but the price looks high to me for a private sale at that mileage.

The rise of the used car market

Agreed - it does feel like a potential market shift. I think it’s also reduced supply of private sale cars, as people are getting a decent offer from WBAC (and others like Evans Halshaw that are doing the same), to the extent that it’s not worth selling privately.

The rise of the used car market

I sold a car to them last week. I paid £17.4k for it in Jan this year from BCA (incl fees). WBAC offered me £22.2k last week, and dropped this by £300 when they inspected the car. There's then a £75 fee to pay, so I ended up with around £21.8k. The deductions were fair enough...a couple of bits...

    Shares to watch

I sold FB at the start of the week, but am just waiting to buy back in….they haven’t dipped as much as I’d expected. They just keep smashing quarterly earnings and although there’s talk of lower and more difficult growth, it’s only relative to recent growth - they still have huge future...

The rise of the used car market

I’ve always assumed this was to help manufacturers push PCP, lease deals etc - it’s finance where they make their margin. Very few people “buy” a new car now!

The rise of the used car market

I think it’s down to a few covid factors, and not knowing the balance of each makes it hard to predict how long the prices will last. Firstly there’s the fact that a lot of people are wealthier than they’ve previously been - thanks to reduced outgoings and/or grants and loans. Secondly there’s...

    Load lugger recommendations

I thought Mercedes fixed their rust issues in the early 2000s? My v70 was still a great car at nearly 200k miles.

    Load lugger recommendations

Just about to embark on another house renovation, so am planning to sell my current daily runaround (2018 MK7 Golf GTI) for a cheaper load-lugger for the next year or so at £5-10k. When I've done this in the past I've had a 2006 V70 T5 (quick and spacious) and a 2005 E61 BMW 525i Touring...

    2004 GRANSPORT FOR SALE

The one on CollectingCars has been relisted due to "a change in the buyer's financial circumstances". Sounds like buyers remorse for paying over the odds.
