Yep, here to answer the burning questions every potential sports car buyer is asking... I actually surprised myself, but it has made the case for a two week European trip next year being more than do-able (with no tent and more pants ) so a double win.

Ha! Replies so far reflecting nicely the conflicting voices in my head. Bus/train into the cities makes sense but still requires parking near a station, and not sure how safe that is either? I have no problem paying for high end parking but it's hard to judge what they're like from here...

For our 40ths next summer, a few friends and our families will be renting a villa in Tuscany, about 40km from Florence. Obviously the easiest thing to do would be to fly and hire a car, but I feel like it would be a missed opportunity to take the GT, and I'd spend the whole time wishing I had...

This is it for me. Looks, sound, feel even just driving in traffic through town (which is usually at least half of any journey I make) keeps me happy. A faster, but less special car wouldn't do that for me. It's the same reason, when I previously needed an estate, that I had the C63, not an RS4...

On the Renault, even if you leave the sound on, it only kicks in below 20mph. Above that, it's silent (apart from wind noise, tyre noise, and shouting children)
