    Interior Color Codes for 3200

Those 2 digits color codes apply to each part, not each car. The last 2 digits of the part number for interior parts are shown as ".." on the parts list. The color codes are for that. https://www.eurospares.co.uk/Maserati/3200/3200_GT_GTA_Assetto_Corsa/PartDiagrams/139/Inner_Trims:_Roof

    Certification

I think there is a side of market research for remanufacturing parts. If Maserati plans to remanufacture parts, they want to make sure they will sell. The owners who bring their cars to the certification will be considered to be passionate and rich enough to buy remanufactured parts. If many...

    Torsional Vibration of Biturbo series

Maserati introduced the dual-mass flywheel for later Ghibli 2 and pre-Evo Quattroporte 4 (both V6 and V8), and continued to use it for Quattroporte 4 Evoluzione V6. However, they ditched it for Quattroporte 4 Evoluzione V8 and 3200 GT. Maybe, they thought the Biturbo V8 was smooth enough.

    Torsional Vibration of Biturbo series

324662340, the flywheel used in some of Ghibli 2 and Quattroporte 4, seems like dual-mass. https://www.eurospares.co.uk/Parts/324662340/Maserati/New

    Torsional Vibration of Biturbo series

I don't know why Maserati didn't bother with torsional vibration at all. At least the crank damper pulley was not a new technology at the time.

    Torsional Vibration of Biturbo series

Does any of the Biturbo series have a crank damper pulley or dual-mass flywheel? I know at least that the 3200 has a solid crank pulley and a single-mass flywheel. It's odd that Maserati didn’t care about torsional vibration at all.

    Combustion chamber volume of 3200

Has anyone measured the volume of the combustion chamber (head and piston) to calculate the actual compression ratio? I'm designing an MLS head gasket and want its correct thickness. It's not written in the workshop manual, so I must calculate it from the compression ratio, displacement, and...

Comparison between Quattroporte 4 and 3200 GT

I’m not saying that they share the platform. I’m saying that the 3200 is not a clean sheet design. Their platforms, mainly the floor pans, share many hard points. It’s clear that the 3200’s evolved from the Quattroporte’s.

Comparison between Quattroporte 4 and 3200 GT

The subframes are different, but their mounting points to the monocoque are very similar.

Comparison between Quattroporte 4 and 3200 GT

The scale is the same. Quattroporte’s platform evolved to the 3200’s.

    Assetto Corsa's brake ducts

Red calipers are more understandable as they at least have some visual appeal.

    Assetto Corsa's brake ducts

Nice sarcasm. I don't know why they made these carbon. They are not much lighter and not visible from the owner, so do not appeal much. ACs have different brake pads from standard ones. That should have been enough. Furthermore, AC's brake booster (189365) is also different from the standard...

    Assetto Corsa's brake ducts

Does anyone have photos of Assetto Corsa’s carbon brake ducts (189132/189133)? I am interested in the shape of them. Are they the same as regular 3200s with just a different material, or not?

    New Clutch kit needed

The crankshaft will always be pulled, even if the clutch is push-type. The relation between the force on the crankshaft (Fcs), clamping force (Fcl), and the force from the slave cylinder (Fsc) will be as follows. (It's simplified, of course) Pull-type clutch: Fcs = Fcl - Fsc Push-type clutch...
