    The good morning thread

I was told that the design and routing of the system meant that it was impossible to drain fluids from the system. Bentley quoted £9k to empty (at Crewe as the dashboard had to come out - through the windscreen??) if vacuum drying didn't work. Luckily after 3 rounds of drying and purging it...

    The good morning thread

Hopefully just a gassing up! Is that going to Bentley? On my Conti someone mistakenly used leak detection fluid in the AC. Apparently that's a serious mistake. It was not a cheap fix! Sent from my KB2000 using Tapatalk

    Another non-Maserati question

So. SIL should have kept his part of the V5 and sent this away, and the new owner should have the buyers part and sent away....that's how it works. Alternative and better is to do this online. Technically until the registration changes by either sending in the sellers part of the V5 or...

    Non Maserati advice required

This ^^ Independent engineer to assess. Difficult with track motors as they get into a sort of grey area on reliability but I, like you, suspect there's a problem. I had to deal with a guy a few years back who was a) An incompetent mechanic but b) An accomplished liar. I got bills for work not...

    The good morning thread

I understand exactly where you are coming from. My usual reply is to quote a Not F..ING Interested price with added travel requirements. Last one I quoted double and 1st class travel and carried on mowing the lawn. Client choked, called me unprincipled and 10 days later agreed! Having the...

Which tires should I buy for my 4200?

You aren't wrong about P Zero. I got a 'deal price' on x 4 for my AMG CLS63. Rubbish grip and the rears have started cracking up after 10mths and 10k miles still got 7mm tread. Sent from my KB2000 using Tapatalk

Which tires should I buy for my 4200?

You would probably get away with 275 but not sure why you want to? As grip is a factor of loading then although you may have more contact area the lighter loading per sq.cm may actually mean less grip overall. Tyres with more grip is a better option. Sent from my KB2000 using Tapatalk

Why you should use a BBQ and not a Lamborghini....

So let me get this straight. You splash all that money for a Lamborghini and it craps out after some spirited throttle work? I'll not be in a queue to buy one then [emoji4] Sent from my KB2000 using Tapatalk

    Pensions again!

Mine are with St James Place Wealth Management. Consistently good returns on my pensions (my own Ltd Co. Salary deduct scheme). As you are probably aware salary deduct pension is probably the best way to extract your cash from your company. Sent from my ONEPLUS A5010 using Tapatalk

    Capitalism or fraud?

My experience also. And strangely I use local Halfords for MOT. I think much depends on the people in the garage as much as 'corporate directive' Sent from my ONEPLUS A5010 using Tapatalk

    Capitalism or fraud?

The MOT is an industry for sure. Best I've come across is Norway and Sweden. You get your car MOT at the government test station. They have no commercial interest in selling or fixing anything. The worst that can happen is a dangerous fail where you get the garage of your choice to tow away...

    Are you worried yet.

So - working from home. No commute. So apart from saving personal time it saves 20 minutes of chit chat getting through the office to my desk A 30 minute Teams meeting takes 30 minutes whereas a 30 minute office meeting takes 50 minutes, plus ties people up organising etc. Lunchtime is...

    Are you worried yet.

Some of the rates on offer from DWP are a bit daft. No wonder our taxes don't appear to go very far. Ops. Director £1200 per day? Doesn't even mention what type of operations. In fact the job description is typical DWP. 2 pages of text which basically says nothing but in a politically correct...

    Proof reader wanted

It's ok being an **** in your own home but you'd think on a bit before going public? Then again BBC online news feed now displays a similar lack of editorial or proof reading. Spelling, grammar, and common sense all missing in action! Sent from my ONEPLUS A5010 using Tapatalk

    My Gransport, 9 months in.

To be fair I only use them for MOT and my local Halfords MOT garage are as helpful as can be. I've had neither a dodgy MOT fail nor any complaint about their MOT. Sent from my ONEPLUS A5010 using Tapatalk

    Sneaky Insurance Apps
