    Karif

    apparently this site doesn't like the work "c r a c k e r" - is it now a rude word?

    Karif

I've owned both the 2 seater Stradale and now a Karif. At 6'5" I appear to have stooped quite low! However .... the motor and drive train are rock solid, it is super rare and is a talking point whenever I take it out. It was the Stradale of its day. BTW, as Maserati often only produced 200 or...

    DOWNUNDER PHOTO of THE DAY

Up towards Ilford and Rylstone - basically go up the Lithgow to Mudgee road and turn right!

    DOWNUNDER PHOTO of THE DAY

The Capertee Valley is the longest enclosed valley in the southern hemisphere - used to be quite a rough unsealed road down there. Haven't been in for years though!

    Auto Italia 2019

We got the series 1 Ghibli into the final three of the Best of Show judging although an Alfa Giulia Spyder took the honours.

    DOWNUNDER PHOTO of THE DAY

That's a bugger - it clashes with Auto Italia!

    DOWNUNDER PHOTO of THE DAY

Hmmm ... always wanted to do a hill climb. Maybe a road trip to Gunnedah is looming to look at the course :)

    Sydney Maserati service guru

Andrea Vitale specialises in Italian machines - there is always a good selection he is servicing from Maserati and Ferrari through Lamborghini and Alfa etc. He used to work for the main dealer before setting up on his own and is a wealth of knowledge. Have a chat with him and see if he suits...

    Maserati's + sunshine!

Yup - great run. The last section was great when we had all of us in one line :)

    Auto Italia 2019

I spoke with the Ferrari Club yesterday about getting down there as well - apparently they didn't officially go last year when it was at the Piallagio Estate. Hopefully this year will be the biggest ever.

It was a great evening - I hope that we can have some of the new Canberra owners join us on club runs. :)

    Favourite Roads?

Two great roads: Braidwood and Abercrombie, although I did get a bollocking on a Club run once from a navigator who didn't read my notes about the drop to the river on the Abercrombie Road! Others: The Oxley (Wauchope to Bendemeer), Thunderbolts (Gloucester to Uralla), Fitzroy Falls in Southern...

    Transaxle leak

I have a similar rate that you describe earlier in the thread, however it would be sensible to have it checked out just in case it is more than just using it properly.

    Transaxle leak

Howe hard do you push the QP? If you give it the beans some oil will get pushed out through an overflow pipe presumably due to pressure. My Stradale does that too and I asked the main dealer to check it out and there was no constant leak - just me using it properly.

    McCarrolls Maserati Sydney

Strangely, Phil McCarroll really is the founder!

    Another Auto Italia in Canberra

Nice photos - I sadly had to miss this one having been laid low by the taxman
