It's hard to describe, but I'm experiencing a slight miss/vibration on idle. I can feel the sensation through the seat and the pedals. There is a very slight fluttering of revs, but otherwise runs well and no codes. Is this a characteristic of the engine, or is there something more sinister...

Should be an ID/serial number on the sensor itself. Just take a photo before fitting so you have a plan B.

I do believe they need coding. Definitely record the sensor ID before fitting, incase a re-learn doesn't work.

Swapped the known working battery, same. The car actually beeps when you put the battery into the key, in a kind of acknowledgy way. I was under the impression the key has to ‘transmit’ to the immobiliser to start the car? That could’ve been a dream though. I’m starting to think there could...

Did anyone ever get to the bottom of this? I have the same symptoms with my spare key. None of the buttons work, replaced the button battery, tried the sync procedure, nothing - but it still starts the car and opens the physical lock. Any ideas?

Hey Al, I inherited the same TPMS issue from the previous owner. Following this thread, I've just received my Autel AP200M and I can now see all my PSIs! :) Bonus is there weren't many other errors either, all seemed to relate to various pieces of the audio system missing, as I would expect...

Correct, it's the very end piece of the pic above on a GT. The button is still there and functional. I think it has that knurled finish to it and is the size of a small coin. Probably not worth replacing the stalks over, but thanks all for the input.

Hey guys, Just fixing up a couple of small bits on my new acquisition, but struggling with this one :) I'm missing the end cap (for want of a better term), on the left hand cruise control stalk. It all still works, but it's just cosmetic. Trying to find a replacement, but for obvious reasons...

Thanks all, looks like this went a bit OT :) To answer some of the questions, yes, 4.2 is already a stretch. I would rather a sorted 4.2 than a ropey 4.7. Extra insurance, clutch etc, and there is a mental barrier of duty I'm prepared to pay :) Not really fussed about the extra power - you go...
