Do I need both pieces of kit? Just ordered the 1 from Amazon. Would come in handy with other cars too I'm assuming My 4200 is '04 - so will have to check on whether there is a tracker.

Have never thought that jump starting would lead to problems. Don't believe I have a tracker. With the cold weather at the moment, starting seems to be more problematic. Shall look into the tender - any recommendations of where to buy? I don't know much about them - how do they work? Just...

I suppose I should get the battery issue resolved and see if that solves it really. Will try and get it booked in at the mechanics and see if the window issue can be sorts it out. Will keep you posted. You're welcome to try your switch in my car if you know what you are doing.

Maybe thats the problem with mine. My car is a weekend drive, but if I don't drive it every week, it needs a jumpstart. Believe this is down to an issue with my nearside window not lowering when I open the handle. Anyhow, I also have the reverse gear issue, but it seems to sometimes...

Sorry - 4200CC It's a very slight delay, before it engages in gear. Normally more noticeable in first obviously. I don't dispute their findings - just that it's taking a large chunk of my reserve amount in case anything else goes wrong with it.

So just had the car looked over by Pete in Chessington two weeks after buying it (Yes, I know - the wrong way round). Quite happy overall with the car. Main thing they said to get looked into ASAP were the NSF Door switch not working, as in the window coming down slightly before it is opened...

Mine almost makes sounds like its ready for take off. All seem very random and not that discreet neither...

So true - I was amazed how my wife actually pushed me into buying mine. (Think she was just fed up with me going and looking at cars every weekend probably...)
