Removal of Gransport carbon centre console

Anyone know how to get this out? What about the T-Bar thing? I don't want to break anything. From the workshop manual for the 4200 it looks like there might be securing bolts under the vents for the rear passengers. I've pulled out the vents but maybe it needs the plastic outer housing removing?

    Changing F1 fluid

Does anyone have a good guide for this? We have some old threads but all the pictures are gone. What I really want is a clear picture of where the bleed nipple is which I think is on the clutch bell housing. I am working without a lift so haven't got amazing view to try and find it. I have the...

    Rear wheel bearing - advice

I looked through the workshop manual but couldn't see any good instructions on what to do. I've got the hub nut off and the handbrake shoes disassembled. I have a big puller ready to go at getting the bearing off. It looks like there are four 8mm hex bolts holding the bearing assembly onto the...

    Hub nut size?

I've had yet another ABS sensor fail so need to change a bearing assembly for the lovely new one I just spent £600 on. The hub nut looks big. Is it 40mm or 41mm? Anyone know from top of their head? The biggest socket I have is 36mm so going to have to invest.

    Oil tank plug threads

I've had an oil leak from my oil tank plug for a while now. It's kind of a weird design because theres a helicoil-style thread actually inside the tank hole. If previously improved the situation by pulling out the thread (which was damaged) and putting in another I found. This worked for a while...

    GS door cards (tech cloth)

Headlamp switch - sticky coating incident

It's a tale as old as time for Ferraris and Maseratis of a certain age, trying all sorts to get rid of the sticky coating. Someone on here recommended some fairly aggressive GTechniq G7 tar and glue remover which does work well on the other surfaces. I had my dash apart in order to do a heater...

GranSport black leather / alcantara front seats

So as a service to the community ;) I've had my formerly tired techcloth seats redone with black alcantara-type material, both the centres and the backs. This wasn't cheap as you can imagine but hopefully they should be more desirable to someone now. Video and photos here...

    Airbag - dashboard retrim

This winter's project is pulling the dash out to get it de-techclothed and change the heater matrix while I'm in there. https://photos.app.goo.gl/e5KqwpF4agWS8zqQA I've just got the passenger airbag out. I want to give the dashboard to a trimmer to get rid of the cloth that has turned pink...

GranSport black leather/ silver techcloth seats & interior

I'm swapping my interior out in my GS, so lots of parts available. Front and rear seats, door cards and most black interior trim pieces (not headlining, dash, carpet or carbon centre console). Tech cloth is in poor condition and could do with replacing; should be an easy job for a trimmer. The...

    Heated/memory seats retrofit

Hey folks, My tech cloth interior is in a bad way and I have been weighing up what to do with it, either get it retrimmed or replace the whole thing. I've taken the plunge and bought the red leather with heated memory (mine doesn't have this) from an accident damaged GS that were on eBay. This...

What is this? 420 SUPER MONOPOSTO

Thoughts on this? https://www.historics.co.uk/buying/auctions/2021-07-17/cars/ref-190-2003-maserati-420-super-monoposto-sb/ Looks like a pretty average lash-up to me, I can't see it making anything like this kind of money.

    Overheating - caught it early

Went out for the final drive of the year, started down the motorway and noticed the temperature was higher than it should be. Luckily we live near a services where you can sneak off onto country roads. I was already suspicious as there seemed to be no heating even after driving 3 miles or so...

    Single DIN head unit recommendation

I swapped out the Becker as one of the first things I did when I bought my car in 2015. I put in a Blaupunkt unit, having had them before but never liked it, the controls were annoying, and bluetooth flaky. Earlier this year I removed the rubbish auditorium amp which improved things, and a...

    Inspect your brake bleed nipples

Oooh errr etc. I've finally had my GS out running for the first time in 2019 today due to a saga with the brake bleed nipples. It all started when I decided it was due a brake fluid change since it hadn't been done in my ownership (since 2016). I started on the OSR caliper and the inner nipple...

OEM GranSport rear alloy wheel - no cracks, never welded

A bunch of photos and a video showing the condition here. I had these refurbed just after I bought my GS in 2015. Good condition but not perfect. I have another that currently has a crack in but I am going to get it welded again in case someone is after two. I don't think a previously cracked...

    EuroSpares re-manufactured GS wheels

My previously welded rear wheel is cracked and leaking air again. I note Eurospares selling a full set for a reasonable £1149. Group buy anyone? I only need one. Anyone bought these? Is the weight the same, i.e. safe to mix and match with OEM?

    2005 GranSport - Grigio Alfieri

Just back from AutoShield with a new clutch and its time for it to go to a new home. I fancy a convertible. 75k, vgc Vredestein Ultrac Vortis all round (rears < 1k miles old), lots done and spent in my ownership. Cruise, xenons and auditorium. I have replaced the Becker unit with a Blaupunkt...
