    Joining the electric car club

In my mind the greenwashing is irrelevant. I’m just viewing them as a car, all of them are poor for the planet. What politicians and manufacturers say about them is irrelevant to me, it’s just noise that doesn’t impact my life. Although as I understand it, the emissions payback after...

    Joining the electric car club

I’m not young, and I already own a Maserati. Pretty much the only people I know that have a severe dislike to them, are those that have never owned one. I was a huge cynic, until I got one.

    Joining the electric car club

Maserati owners worried about depreciation :p I was an EV cynic, until I got one. One thing that doesn’t get mentioned often enough, the good ones are really really good to drive. They don’t feel heavy even if they are, they corner well because of the low centre of gravity, and are super...

Boot space of various Gran Cabrio models

They don’t change anything major, like boot space, there’d be zero point in that. It’ll just be body trim that changes the length.

    Where are ya Drinking Now?

I don’t see the need. I’ll write in here where I’m drinking, then move over to the other thread to say what I’m drinking whilst I’m here/there. Seems perfectly sensible :)

    Maserati Insurance

Thanks, for some reason mine was £1200 . Current is £650, and that wasn’t shopping around, just updated current provider for car that the the Maserati replaced.

    Maserati Insurance

Just out of interest, how much was your policy if you don’t mind sharing? I’m 51, no claims forever pretty much and in a good postcode area. And the quote was £500 more per year than my current. And you can’t take products off, for example it comes with UK and European assistance, which I get...

What have you done to your Maserati today?

I scraped a wheel on my Maserati. Anyone know a good spray for touching up an MC style titanium wheel? Or are they glossy black, I don’t even know the colour of them

    The good morning thread

Finally back home after all week in France, Eurostar let me down today big delays. Use TGV myself a lot, but not always perfect, especially earlier this year. They have one MAJOR flaw that lets them down, uber militant French drivers that couldn‘t resist going on strike 2 days a week!

RHD Mexico for sale at Duke Of London...

Saw a beauty at a classic car show in Derbyshire a couple of months ago, looked great!

    The good morning thread

Morning all, France today. Just boarded the TGV from Lyon to Paris, so the French can demonstrate to me again how high speed train travel should be. We’ll be travelling at the top speed of my Granturismo…… :) And about enough time to watch two episodes of the new Justified series on Disney.

    Funny or clever number plates

And one I saw at another golf club, bit of a pattern forming here.

    Funny or clever number plates

This car is also always at the golf club, works in the “film” industry allegedly.

    Funny or clever number plates

Found a few old ones on my phone. This one is John Lowes’, former world darts champ. He obviously couldn’t afford 501. He’s a member at the golf club I play at, apparently he’s a talented scorer, great pencil skills ;)

    HR Owen service pricing

I doubt very much that anyone would have changed that, won’t be high on anyone’s list of priorities. Makes an extended warranty super expensive if you take it to Maserati still when car is a few years old. Money for the extended warranty itself, plus £2k ish extra each service. Hardly seems...

What have you done to your Maserati today?

Yes, they bought the Knockerdown pub. The big one with camping near the entrance to Carsington Water. Got knocked back for planning on whatever they were looking to do. If you go on website for Knockerdown it says right down at the bottom © 2023 Caffeine and Machine (Knockerdown) Ltd...

    Maseratis - Spotted

Although I did recently get asked by border control in Germany when was the first time I entered the European Schengen area? I said I had no idea, when was the Schengen area introduced? She didn’t know, and waved me through. Random question.

    HR Owen service pricing

If it was me I’d have been starting with specialist independents at this point. A couple near me with ex Ferrari/Maserati staff, or if I was closer I’d be at SportsItalia as well. When I called in at the local place to me, and asked for pricing he said he wouldn’t even recommend changing Lambda...

What have you done to your Maserati today?

They’ve just posted this pic on their Instagram. Must be getting somewhere else ready to open. I’ll let them settle in for a while before I try it, it was often very quiet in the Peaks, especially in the week during the day. occasionally it’d just be me, or at most 2-3 cars. Weekends were hit...
