    Updated the number plates with legal spacing but still on a short plate, previous plates caused me a lot of hassle at MOT, this time for the fun of it added ‘Doris’

    Started the sticky buttons project, stripped out the control unit and disassembled lower set of buttons, cleaning WIP, (what a PITA) then going with stickers from Andy4200 and paint/lacquer.

    Reverse / Automatic mirror adjustment

    Thanks for that tip, it’s been frustrating me for an age, made the adjustment this morning before a mini road trip to West Wales, so much better to see behind me when reversing than just seeing the ground! Cheers

    Dark Blue? 4200 Coupe reg ??VV? Leaving Ross on Wye on Wilton Road, going toward the A449 / A40 junction. I was waiting on our side road to turn out driving the wife’s Merc towing a Horse Trailer. Sounded lovely.

    The ‘Fork’ is working fine, it’s the screw that goes up through into the plastic Tee that has broken or pulled out, I can select reverse ok by pulling up on the metal shaft of the Fork. Not had chance to investigate further yet, thinking about taking the unit out and seeing if the screw can be...

    Reverse Knob came off!

    Ah, I understand now and it looks like the threaded part of the screw has failed, I sense a bit of faff to resolve, or glue it, which downstream might come back to bite me.
