six inches was too much for her. written off.

So having got my MOT last week (after the whole binding brake/LSD thing) I was up early the next day to take the dog for a walk and an excuse for a little blatt in the car. On the way home I went down a few lanes (show my eldest the farm near Braunton Burrows with a jet fighter in the driveway)...

MOT fail on binding rear brake... but seems to me to be resistance in gbox/dif.... is this normal?

Morning all,. So my 4200 failed MOT on a rear calliper binding on one side. Whipped it off and its all very free and pistons retract at a gentle push... that said when I jack a rear corner up, and have her in neutral, both sides give quite a bit of resistance to being turned... feels/sounds...

    Dodgy bolt... rear subframe fun...

need to swap the rear brake pipe that runs over the gearbox... so had a go at dropping the rear end a few inches to make life a little simpler when (if ever) the new one rocks up... It seems I'm not the first to drop it... and last time someone got a bit creative on one of the bolts :):):)

No gearbox hydraulic pressure… so sat in a car park and not going anywhere.

So this happened a few days back - and by the time I’d got home, got trailer back to car to recover, it started fine and I drove it onto the trailer. this time I have my launch with me… I can see the relay shows on when I open the door but the hydraulic pressure that was measuring 40 to 50 has...

    Very odd clutch wear value?

the launch rocked up today - so I thought I’d see what’s going on clutch wise… seems I have a new closed clutch position of 1.8m rather than a couple of cm… which is perhaps a little off right? Give me a clutch wear of -26551% :) The self calibrated value shows as 21.72 and the PID is 4.19...

    Another Newbie... UK... Devon

Hello from soggy North Devon. Just took on a 4200 as my "family motor" to replace a 159 wagon... bought her at the Historics auction at Ascot the other week. Only driven a few miles to date (awaiting v5 etc) - not got the feel of my Elise (hello selocers ;)) but it's one **** of an occasion...
