Simply remove the cap on the shifter, take out the bolt with a 3mm alan key and lift it off... put a trim removal tool under the edge of the trim and prise it up.... disconnect the cables and your done...
That is very easy! I did the door trims last night and it took about half an hour to do from removal to replace.
The Center console is also simple... a bit more intricate to wrap but again it took about half an hour to complete.
The parts need to be off to wrap around them for a good finish.
