    This is cheap!

I am happy to look at any cars. I also have to bite my tongue when I see incorrect stuff on members cars. I used to be able to spot a 4200 that’s front bumper had been removed/refitted from 200 yards..the spacers fall out and never get put back and are more often than not just thrown away.

    This is cheap!

Sorry, my OCD kicked in and I just went to town. Its a shite repair! With the engine guards removed, I suspect more horrors will be exposed.

    This is cheap!

Another image of the broken engine guard, this is where the main power board is housed:

    This is cheap!

Side indicator repeaters should be clear with amber bulb, wheels are the wrong colour.

    This is cheap!

Headlights are not Stradale ones, the indicators should be clear with amber bulbs, suspect they are from a 4.2. Bonnet is aftermarket and not the correct twin vent polyester bonnet, it has the extra nose vent ala the 4 seater plus some crazy large twin vents up near the scuttle.

    This is cheap!

Front sill does not fit where it meets the front wing:

    This is cheap!

Engine bay crossmember under the throttle body has been painted white, it should be grey. Engine covers scratched and marked, and all look different colours. Airflow meter is all scuffed along the top from the impact. Passenger side of the engine guard has snapped away from the scuttle and...

    This is cheap!

Hard enough impact to deploy the airbags and pre tentioners. Requires new dash....or you can stick a bit of plastic over the hole blown in the passenger dashboard top! Drivers steering wheel airbag looks wrong colour, probably off a QP or other model.

    SM GTS brake discs

Yes, the calliper will be the same, just moved outwards and thus the disc will be spinning faster so more friction and thus more stopping power.

    This is cheap!

Here we go again... Cat D, wrong used headlights fitted, cheap Chinese aftermarket bonnet fitted. If they skimped on the item you can see, what did they skimp on underneath. 3 years ago, it was up for £50k and hung around for nearly a year. Had the plate MAMA or something on it and the full...

    SM GTS brake discs

Thought the rears are the same on all models of GT and QP GTS. Not sure about the 4.2 QP

    SM GTS brake discs

Yes I believe it’s the same braking system as the GT S

    SM GTS brake discs

I would have no reason to believe that running the same pad in the same car there would be any noticeable difference in braking performance. They are a like for like replacement. If it’s a braking performance upgrade that your after, it’s option 3

    SM GTS brake discs

Also with the bells and rotors, you could go option 2 then upgrade to option 3 or vice versa. Hence if you have the bells it gives you greater flexibility and come replacement you only replace the rotor. The Strads carbon ceramics are bell and rotor. If a carbon ceramic rotor was to become...

    SM GTS brake discs

I would not agree that poorer is the correct term here. Additionally, option 1 would be less seseptable to wharping over the OEM that are almost designed to wharp.

    SM GTS brake discs

Bells and rotors are 2 piece. You have a central hub unit (bell) then the ring shaped disc (rotor) bolts to it.

    SM GTS brake discs

There has been a lot of talk recently about alternative routes for brake disc so I thought it about time to show our hand. After the success of our SM 4200 discs that MAF and I worked on, Zep and I have been working for about a year behind the scenes to bring not 1, not 2 but 3 options for the...

    The good morning thread

Morning. Both kids away at the moment so it’s very weird in the house. Took the Brera out for a little drive, down to Chichester Marina. Drives lovely, I’m very please. Out on the town last night with Mrs C and some friends which got a bit messy. Mrs C going on the Chunder Chart today :)...

    Anyone know what this is?

Are we talking the black *** packet size thing or the bigger double vhs tape size thing? The smaller unit is definitely the gps unit for the head unit. The larger item is either the passenger airbag or the tracker. I’d need to see better pics.
