    Dented pride

You would think as a no fault the third party insurance company would have to tow the line, apparently not. It's a disgrace when they offer less than what is available retail same age/condition when you are the innocent third party.

    New Assetto Corsa Video

I think you are being a bit unfair, I've been following him a while from when he owned a new Lotus Evora, and always thought his reviews to be fair and honest. He has just bought himself a Ferrari 550, a childhood dream, and has also reviewed many older Ferrari's over the last few years. You...

    Cars that offend you !

I've always liked the weird and unusual! You only dislike the SM because it is French. You like it really.

The XT was so period for the time, and I liked it!!

    Cars that offend you !

Completely agree, the cruiser is hideous full stop. The prowler however does have a certain appeal, different for sure, but I do not find it offensive like the cruiser!

It's one of those repairs that to be done properly new parts, will be expensive. If written off and bought from a salvage yard, could also be bodged repaired quite easily, and then buyer beware!

    The good morning thread

Although no car events or rallies this year so far, seeing as it's the first today, and we are on holiday next week just bobbin around, taxed the Maser for the first time this year. At least get 2 or 3 months out of her.

Bumper, boot, light, exhaust. They might even right it off depending on part prices, and how old/value.

    The good morning thread

Great. Our holiday next week to Jersey already cancelled by Easyjet. Now we are in lockdown in Kirklees for probably the rest of the summer.

    Chemical guys hydro slick

Everything these days is clear coated, however my Stag is a single stage 2 pack sprayed 30 years ago. I would like to go over it with my DA polisher, but fear I would remove too much paint unlike hard clearcoat. I just know my pad would go green instantly, the colour of the car, well actually...

    Chemical guys hydro slick

I think, if the clearcoat is clean, decontaminated, and pretty much swirl free, you can put what you like on top at that stage and it will look good. I have been using Maguires ultimate fast finish on the daily drivers. Aerosol can, spray onto microfibre cloth, wipe over panel, that's it...

How long can our cars last?

I've broken down three times in my Stag over the last 34 years of ownership. First was ignition, the condenser came loose in the base of the distributor. Got home by using a trim screw and bit of insulating tape to secure it back in position. Second was broken throttle cable. Got home by...

How long can our cars last?

Interestingly more GranTourismo where made (approx 40K incl cabrio) than say my Triumph Stag (just less than 26K). It's 50 years ago this year that they where first sold, can still easily run them and buy parts. I'm not so sure the same will apply to the GT (or other modern Maserati from say...

    360 gearbox software in 4200

I think this is the case, parameters changed to CS rather than the whole TCU map. So instead of the FD DBW module fudging the signals, you get the same result through changing some of the original code.

    360 gearbox software in 4200

We run 201 hardware in the classico like the Ferrari 360. Actually the first generation Ferrari 360 actually ran an even earlier TCU, the 201 came latter with bigger memory capable of taking the CS firmware, the earlier TCU didn't have enough memory for it. The original CS firmware was on 231...

    Gransport MPG - Owners experience.

I can't either! Best I've seen is 22/23 on cruise on the Motorway at 70/80 ish. Quickly drops below 20 doing anything else!
