    Bonnet Mascot

I think I should take your ire for suggesting it. Now you know why is it my sister who gets to own cats in my family!

    Maserati Reactions

I think nothing (yet) beats the reaction we had when we parked our cars in the harbour at Portofino. There was a TV news crew in attendance!

    Harry's Garage

It’s interesting how people’s views differ. I like all of them (including Porter) but didn’t like Trott. Had a long chat with Jethro’s Dad at the EB car show a couple of months ago, he was there with his Citroen SM and his other son with a mental Camero.

Sports Maserati - Tuscan Tea Party

Indeed. When I first went there for a chat they had Harry’s name on their planning board, so I knew they were the right people.

But that was a house, this is a carbon bonnet! :D

Anyone replaced a rear lower control arm lately?

The spring is, yes. Between the top mount and the spring platform.

    Bonnet Mascot

The solution to this, perhaps, comes under the heading of “non-permanent harm”. But I bow to your obviously greater knowledge in this area :D

    Maserati Reactions

I was discussing the response with my friend on Sunday evening. He was watching while I was driving. Some looked bewildered, others grinned but there were a few grimaces at the noise too apparently.

    Harry's Garage

Indeed. I enjoyed reading Harry’s stuff in Evo long before Harry’s garage, he mentioned his farm back then. Evo was much better in those days (and yes, it was fields as far as the eye could see back then too)...

    Bonnet Mascot

Have you tried the hose pipe technique? Spray the cat with water every time it sits on the bonnet. Very soon it will stay off!

Anyone replaced a rear lower control arm lately?

On the rear? The strut is located on the hub carrier, not the wishbone. You can undo the 4 nuts that locate the strut top, compress the spring and remove the stud that locates through the hub carrier to remove the strut. If you want to remove the wishbone the ball joint isn’t on a taper, it is...

Youtuber does DIY F1 actuator rebuild and setup

This is interesting and it takes some balls to get into something like that. If there is the slightest misalignment there is shift fork endangering interference I hear. The diag tool looks like the Launch system that was discussed on here some time ago.

    MC Stradale

The tech doc I have for the 2 seat lists the dry weight as 1670kg, kerb weight as 1770kg and the weight with driver as 1845kg - so drivers over 12 stone need not apply. The spec I have seen for the 4 seat is 1700 dry and 1800 kerb - these are nice round numbers don't you think? Anyway by my...

    4200 transmission whine

It has been explained to me in the past that they all do that to some extent.

    Check Brake pad warning light

Ignore me! :p Let me try again. You should have the 6 pot brakes, so there are a few alternative parts for the pads as you share the pattern with various cars like the Giulia QV (they have a built in wear sensor that you can cut off). For the discs you are really stuck with MD (Ask Ross at...

Gransport - Euro or US manifolds?

I think we agree on pretty much everything apart from US spec cars not suffering from failures. I believe it is uncommon. In my reckoning there have been around 15 instances, and some of those in EU spec cars haven’t resulted in engine damage (Geoff Capes being and example). This is out of...

    GranSport (Fuji White) Running report

It’s cat roulette i’m afraid. No idea if they would have similar rules regarding cat warm up in HK as they have in the US.
