Back looking for a Granturismo Sport Auto

So I’m now looking for a place to carry out the PPI. The nearest specialist that the owner has used recently is Autofficina in Espom. Alternatively there is Marranello in Egham. Does anyone have experience with either and who will know these cars best to carry out a detailed PPI? Thanks Trev

Back looking for a Granturismo Sport Auto

Ok so I’m now looking at places to carry out a PPI and provide me with full report. The seller says they use Autofficina in Epsom. Alternatively the other near by dealer would be Maranello in egham. Anyone have any experience with either? Thanks Trev

Back looking for a Granturismo Sport Auto

Agreed, not sure what this has to do with my search for a GT. I’ll happily take a Ferrari if someone wants to give me one for the price of a Granturismo though .

OK so the white strad owner has come back again with some pictures of the wing damage. Looks like there is some corrosion around the damage. Does this look like a straight forward repair or could it be hiding other issues?

Back looking for a Granturismo Sport Auto

Yeah I can really see the appeal of the 2 seater cars but I’ve got a 9 and 5 year kids and would love to have rear seats so we can use the car together. I recently had a Lotus Evora S which was great fun but was a real squeeze if we ever wanted to use it as a family and I think the rear space in...

Back looking for a Granturismo Sport Auto

Thanks Dickie. This one might be a stretch too far if it needs a chunk of money put into it straight away. I’m sure the right car will come along. I know you’ve got a lovely black stradale for sale Dickie but I really need the rear seats as I’ve two young kids. I’d read on the forum in the...

Back looking for a Granturismo Sport Auto

So a bit of an update. I’ve heard back from the owner of the white strad. He said it’s due a service next month so waiting to see if he is looking to sell the car without servicing or will service the car first prior to any sale. On clutch wear he said the last service report 3k miles ago showed...

You should be able to weight reading on ceramics and condition report I would have thought. I also did a bit of googling and there seems to be a couple of options for having ceramics refinished for Strads and you could of course switch to a steel setup if costs were really crazy.

Thanks for the info, I'll have a look through those buyers guides. I actually saw your yellow in the sold section of the Richard Grace website. It looks awesome. I'd really like a more unusal colour as there seems to be a lot of grey and black cars and I think a pop of colour would be nice. Last...

Back looking for a Granturismo Sport Auto

Thanks for the info so far all. In terms of mileage I think I'll be looking at 3-5k miles per year as this is going to be my special weekend/occasion car and realistically won't get used during the super cold months. While I said I was looking for a sport this Stradale has caught my eye. Does...

Back looking for a Granturismo Sport Auto

Hi all I joined this forum a few years ago when I considered a Granturismo. 2 Years and a Lotus Evora S later and I'm back again and considering a Granturismo once again. I've got a budget of up to about £35k and think I'd like a sport auto with the torque convertor box as I think it will be...

Newbie looking for a Granturismo - S or Sport?

Thanks James, for some reason alerts were going to my junk mail but I'm still lurking and looking. BTW your car looks awesome, very jealous. I also saw the car you mentioned, it's been on Auto trader or Pistonheads for a little while. I still haven't 100% made my mind up on a GT yet but maybe if...

    Keeping a maserati outside

I've always thought outdoor covers would cause issues with rubbing against paintwork (bad) but might protect the car from any buildup of water in areas prone to rust like the the chassis/bodywork (good).

    Keeping a maserati outside

Hi all I am looking a buying a Maserati Granturismo but my garage is borderline big long enough to fit the car in. I've never had one of the 'nice cars' parked on the drive and wondered do any owners keep their cars outside? Given the issues I've read about rusting subframes is it a bad idea...

Newbie looking for a Granturismo - S or Sport?

Some great replies, thanks everyone for the warm welcome and views on the different options. I'm based in Warwickshire near Rugby so would be great to meet any local owners. As for colour, unfortunately I am very colour sensitive. I'm a designer by trade so the way something looks is important...

    Side skirts option

Hi all I noticed when looking at Granturismos that some cars have sills with black inlays which I think look really good and help break up the side of the car. When looking at old brochures I can’t see these listed in the options. Were they part of the MC sportline packs or separate option and...

    Granturismo S sport pack

Thanks Richard, really useful. Yes sport pack does sound like a great option to look out for but agree, needs to be cheaper than a sport so I'll keep a look out.

Newbie looking for a Granturismo - S or Sport?

Some very nice cars you have for sale Dicky, but alas not quite what I am looking for. I'd quite like a brighter colour for a GT as I've done the sensible dark grey Aston V8 Vantage and elegant silver e-type so need a louder mid life crisis colour :). Perfect spec would be: Rosso Mondiale or...

Newbie looking for a Granturismo - S or Sport?

Apologies all, I may have got confused with the maserati termonology (easily done). So I understand that there are 3 gearbox options, as others have stated: Auto - I've read this is the least responsive option and supresses the exhaust sound somewhat MC Shift - I've read this is a great...
