So I’ve been through the owners manual and it appears that the ‘direction indicators’ are indeed supposed to flash once on activation and twice on deactivation. My car does not do this but I cannot find anything in the manual about enabling or disabling this feature…

As Catman rightly said, someone has most likely used the secret menu and turned the beeping off. The GT never flashed its turn signal lights when arming or disarming.

Will probably be early to avoid the M25 rush..

My lights don‘t come on when I lock/arm the car. Just the beeb.

The two buttons above the rear view mirror are to deactivate the interior alarm sensor and the movement sensor (useful on a ferry) Press one or both and then close the door and activate the alarm on the key as usual.

I considered a quick lunch time drive when I saw the sun out, didn’t happen in the end. I’m near Maldon (5 mins) but haven’t spotted you around sadly.

Very sad indeed, my condolences to his family. I had interactions with Andy on this forum but sadly never met in person. A thoroughly decent chap, quick witted and always supporting of others. A great loss. I shall join other forum members on Thursday in raising a glass to Andy.
