Soft touch remover > Sticky button magic

Just done the dash top diffuser and CIF removed the white dot & circle indicators - easily replaced. Interesting that so far all stuff removed was black but the diffuser coating must have been clear and washed off much faster. That’s it now - will use the car until the winter when I will strip...

Soft touch remover > Sticky button magic

Removed the steering column shrouds and tried the Goo Gone. Just about starting to soften the surface -tedious. So tried oven cleaner (CIF) = result! Spray on, leave a minute or so then rub with finger or sponge and then rinse off. All traces gone. Will use on all larger areas which can be...

Commonly known as the DS trumpets. Delight on a 60’s car where the bright metal is all stainless steel, roof is glass fibre and the bonnet a massive Aluminium pressing:

    Fiat Barchetta Riviera

The Architect is on his second which is a keeper; first one went to a garage owner here (who also has two!). Hood leaks can be an issue. Fun to drive - I borrowed them. Colleague’s racing driver friend loved his. Fiat variators. For deeper info speak to DTR in London who know them inside out.

Time to fix the sagging ar*e on the DS. Max height, stands underneath and down again. Expose gubbins under the cover and carefully(!!!) undo 50 year old hydraulics and swap the height corrector. Still stiff from wriggling inside the boot to get to bolts:

Yes another 4200 spyder non working roof

I wonder if the front latches over the windscreen may be an issue - though I am not sure at what point in the opening cycle they release, or need to be latched for the opening sequence to operate. When opening I concentrate on watching the rear actions operating OK.

…. Named the suspense account; a home for amounts which can not be properly accounted for. I have one in my Sage numbered 9999. Maybe the POL account was numbered 666? Yes the amounts were declared as profit and loss as was said.
