Thanks, this is what I was wondering. I don’t really have the option of taking it for a proper drive to warm it up during the “shuffle” so I was wondering if it was better to start, move and turn off asap or start, move and allow to idle to temperature and then turn off.

Due to limited parking where I live I frequently have to do a “car shuffle” with my wife or son’s car which requires me to start my QPV (usually from cold) move it a few metres then turn it off, meaning the engine is only running for 30-60 seconds. I do try and give the car at least one weekly...

Ha ha - don’t worry I wasn’t planning a self repair, as far as I can tell mine is still functioning ok … I was just interested to know if it required a new alternator or not when if it does happen.

I recently noticed that I have an additional switch on my steering column cowling behind the paddles and in front of the ignition key which I am presuming is not original? Does any one have any educated guess what this might be for? I realise that the only way to know for sure is to get under...

Lol - well mine is a Cat D car but as far as I know all the damage was on the drivers side front, no evidence of any rear damage. So hopefully as you say it’s just a weak point in the trim!

Just been reading this thread and I was fascinated to notice that your car has identical damage to the left hand boot trim as mine does. I have highlighted it from your earlier picture: Any idea how this happens? - I just assumed someone had stripped out the back of my car and had damaged it...

Most recent updates include a smaller no. plate to perfectly fit the mounting plinth and wheels spacers (25mm rear and 22mm front) although I am thinking that perhaps the front only needs to be 15mm.
