Vittorio Brambilla in his Beta March-Ford 751 went off the track at high speed during qualifying for the 1975 Austrian Grand Prix at Österreichring.

Brambilla would win at the race day during it's extremely wet conditions, his first and only grand prix victory. Iconically, after crossing the finish line at 1st place he crashed destroying the front end of his March.

This lives 2 doors up from where I was working today, same familly from new , Grandfather bought it new, passed to father, then his son who owns it now, he used to work for Brabham, unfortunately he doesn't get on with his son, so who knows what will happen to it, he was just taking the chap I am working for off to the pub in it.

Any love for the classic 900? My dad had a succession of turbos from 1978 through to 2007

Loved them and would have another; started with a '99 900 8v with water injection with extra boost and after a couple more had a 16S convertible, which brought home the true meaning of scuttle shake - horrible.

Obviously you've never driven a 4200 Spyder, they shake like a dog sh!tting peach pips. Italian character they call it, I call it bad design.

Okay, so his name is actually Patrick Sanders.
He would've spent several years as a Lieutenant
Colonel and a full Colonel.
Imagine the giggles every time he was introduced
as Colonel Sanders!

I do wonder whether they notice these things. The first captain of HMS QE was Captain Kyd.
