Remember when you were a kid and car dealerships had interesting stuff in them rather than a cappuccino machine and some shite branded clothing.

Really interesting guy, from memory so don’t quote. Motorcycle racer before the war. Fought in the Prague uprising, then walked across Europe to get a job serving Jeeps for the US Army. Emigrated to the US and founded the first Porsche dealership there. Think he was killed driving a 911 Turbo at some insane speed on the Autobahn in the 1990s when he’d have been 80-something.

For me, Joe Macaris is still like that. The owner is a special chap, not precious about walking amongst the cars and especially friendly towards children. Not surprising that he was a keen racing driver himself. Same ethos extends to their service operation.
