Ape!

on my shopping list as a next project, some sort of personal pizza and bar I can drag around with me

Similar plan, the guy down the road, where this photo, was taken buys them cheap and builds exactly that. He is a big Italian petrolhead so has agreed to help me build a Pizza / Coffee bar for the garden and local car club events

Thanks for keeping him safe. I love Herons. They have a roost in Bookham common, not far from Leatherhead animal rescue centre (I've taken any number of birds there over the years) and only a 10 minute walk from my home, so I get to see herons on the wing from time to time. One of them is fond of perching atop a neighbour's tree. All in all, I do pretty well for herons.
Bet you're glad he's out of your pond though.
You don't, by any chance drive this do you? I saw it parked in Bookham earlier today. Gorgeous.

Despite a concrete heron deterrent, my parents koi carp were all finally dispatched by herons. They had some whoppers including a grass carp which was an absolute monster!

Neighbour at the end of my garden a Koi pond, well netted and grated as they have kids.

Heron can often be seen on my garden cabin looking longingly down at his fish.

Amazing that yours went as far as finding a way under that net. They are awesome looking birds.

A beauty of an A110 on Car SOS last night, well worth checking out, but such a terribly sad tale of the devastation of Parkinson's disease in the episode - once again, a real tear jerker of a show

I watched that. Lovely looking car, terrible impact Parkinson’s has on sufferers.
