Lovely but I think I’d put a quality black leather strap on it to complete the look.
Who was selling?
It was a local guy here who put it on FB.
I had it put in the local watch repairer here who also sells lots of high end watches to inspect, take the back off and check the movement before purchasing.

I have always liked mechanical watches, had quite a decent collection, but have recently slimmed it down to an Omega Speedmaster, Rolex Seadweller and an IWC Portuguese on the basis this covers all bases.

However, I’ve always wanted to find a relatively cheap daily wearer that I could wear for pretty much everything but still enjoy. I’ve bought a few but been disappointed.

Much against my better judgement, I recently succumbed to the prolific advertising of Forge & Foster and bought a 42mm automatic Paragon on a rubber strap. It has 10atm water resistance, sapphire glass front and back and a very reliable Seiko movement. I’m not a huge fan of their skeletonised watches personally, but I liked the simplicity of this design being reminiscent of AP/Patek/Hublot but without being too much of a copy. The price - €160 delivered to Portugal.

It would be an understatement to say I’m very impressed. I love it and it hasn’t been off my wrist for well over a month now. It has great heft, the dial is understated but very pretty - I particularly like the blue day feature which adds just a touch of colour - and it is by far the most comfortable watch I own - I have slept in it having completely forgotten I was wearing it. It genuinely feels like a watch costing several £ks. I hope they produce some different non- skeletonised designs as I will certainly buy another. Based on my experience so far, highly recommended - the advertising messages seem entirely warranted. Here’s a few photos.

Now then Rwc13, firstly nice collection.
Secondly I too was intrigued by the F&F advertising bombardment on Facebook, insta etc however, It won’t surprise you to know that I fancied “The Centurian” https://www.sportsmaserati.com/index.php?threads/the-watch-thread.30246/post-820458

The polar opposite of what you were interested in!
In the end I decided on one of these instead https://www.sportsmaserati.com/index.php?threads/the-watch-thread.30246/post-820254

(which has been excellent) but I’m interested to hear your positive experience as I keep looking at some of their other designs.
I have a small wrist and think some of their styles may be a little chunky for me however.

Mine is only 6.5” but I find 42cm very comfortable as the lugs drop down quite acutely and the integrated rubber straps are supremely comfortable.

I went through a watch phase around 2000. About the same time, I bought several long sleeved striped Polo Sport shirts to wear with chinos, in the US tech company I was working for. My Polo Sport shirts were predominantly blue, yellow and a dark burnt orange. So, I treated myself to matching Traser watches, which looked like these. (I was reading a lot of Andy McNabb at that time)
Women always noticed that the watches matched my shirt etc. Men, never. That suited me just fine :)
Breitlings like the Chronomat below are more my thang now. But I hardly ever wear them.

Some truly lovely watches here.

Nice lot of watches. I keep coming back to Bell & Ross (albeit not that one) as I love the styling but there are so many knock offs that it's like being in the early 90s when anyone wearing a Tag was asked if it was real.

I enquired about a Daytona today....platinum.
Was told it’s $150,000 if I can find one.
The world’s gone totally raving bonkers mad.
No thanks.84304

The Reverso does it for me. Stunning watch and 6 months to build..
Yup, very nice, let’s organize a forum bulk buy and see if we can get a couple of hundred off the £1,500,000 price tag “.

The first 10 ought to do it. unfortunately I’m out as I’m in two minds over that cheap Rolex.

Very happy to have picked up a watch I have fancied for ages this morning. Its a Datejust 41mm with a fluted bezel and oyster bracelet.
Will take a little getting used to as its pretty sparkly/ flash looking compared to my other watches. Lovely thing to look at in the flesh though.

No wait lists, walked right in and it was ready to go!

Well done. That is beautiful. And the fluted bezel with Oyster bracelet is the perfect combination.
Coincidentally there was advert for just such a 41mm Datejust in the Times at the weekend, but with a blue face. So I was straight to the Rolex website for a quick look about. I'm struggling to find excuses not to buy one!
