26th August 2010. You can tell it’s high summer can’t you!

I remember some savage hangovers from those track days

A Great read over coffee.

that was a good read, there's some nice old petrol pumps there as well, been toying with buying one for a while especially a nice Shell pump with the globe as a feature for the garage or even possibly the house, bloomin expensive though, wonder how difficult they are to unbolt from the bases ;), would look nice outside your workshop when you restore the unit

Would love to put an old pump infront of the workshop along with old signage but worth some coin today.

I remember back in about 1966 the pub in our village had 2 petrol pumps, as the landlord was usually pi***d people used to fill their cars up and tell him they had only had a couple of gallons.

mine had a lot more rust in 1980! The next Ford I bought was the Fiesta for my lad when he split with his Mrs. Just to get him mobile.

In 1979 a woman in a 2cv ran into the back of me in my Cortina 1.6 GXL (no less) , everything under the back bumper turned into a pile of brown dust on the road , it was only 7 years old
