Hi
This is my first post and thought given that our cars suffer from this issue thought this may helps others.
I bought a 18k miles GS some 4 months ago and the car being so low mileage was in very good condition indeed other than the buttons which were sticky so I started looking for solutions and found numerous methods but after trying varying methods I believe this product is the easiest and most effective way achieve a great finish and not damage the writing on the buttons too.

A friend of mine is an electrical engineer and after speaking with him he said try LRM and he kindly gave me a bottle(with brush attachments which is needed) told me to spray the brush and coat each button fully and leave for 10-15 minutes, after the time has elapsed to then take a baby wipe and slowly using my nail gently scrape each button with my nail and this will remove it.
I was very skeptical to be honest but I tried it on one button first and it worked and only left a tiny bit of sticky residue which I had missed with the baby wipe and my nail so I repeated the process and the button came up like new without any damage.
I spent around 1 hour and all the center console buttons(i.e. sport button rear demister etc) along with electric window buttons etc came out factory fresh.
Needless to say I am very happy and grateful to my friend for the recommendation.

The trick I think is leaving the LRM on for 10 mins plus so it can start to breakdown the sticky substance and just be slow and careful as you gently scrape with your nail.
I now every few weeks just spray a tiny bit on the brush and rub each button down with a baby wipe after application and leaving for a couple of minutes to hopefully stop it every happening again

Apologies if someone else has already made this recommendation but I could find anyone that had used this product so thought I should post.

Here is the link for the product as I intimated the brush is really useful as its a good size for our buttons and makes the job easier, sorry the link for ebay is so large

Just to add I also at one point after applying the LRM used a hair drier to heat a button up as I thought the LRM and the sticky substance may be easier to remove after being heated a little........the jury is out if this helped or not so after one button I aborted this Idea as I don't think it helped but others may think this makes it easier. Just dont get too much heat into the button as its plastic after all.
Hope it helps!
